About me
I have always thrived when building relationships with people. When I started my career as a green coffee trader, connecting with people around the globe opened a new world for me, especially when I was able to travel to the beautiful and often remote places in the world where coffee is grown, I got in contact with the reality of local people, often of poverty, lack of education and environmental degradation. Key experiences were visits to an indigenous cooperative in the remote areas of the Huehuetenango mountains in Guatemala and the heart-warming welcome dances of women for our group in Kenya. In both circumstances, people gave us their best. Their best food, their warmth, and their humanity. This changed my career path and in fact, short after I joined UTZ Kapeh (later UTZ Certified) in the start-up phase, and helped to build it to become the largest certification program in the world in coffee (and cocoa!). These were the early days of sustainability, and finally, I was able to connect People and Nature!
During the merger with the Rainforest Alliance, I learnt a lot on how to navigate my cross-continental team through major change, and how to enable them to spread their wings and live their purpose! Given my talent to foster relationships across all continents and hierarchical levels, I was then tasked to build an internal change ambassador network, the Rainforest Alliance Inspiration Network RAIN.
This openend yet another dimension on how to empower people, how to integrate their voices, coach them and collaborate towards the same mission. It was a beautiful experience and it gave my carrer another twist: still people and nature, but now deepening the interactions through coaching, leadership development and culture change!

Academic background as a Business Economist and Ethicist (Zurich University), Accredited Certified Executive Coach (International Coaching Federation and IMD), and Executive Leader (Oxford).
Experienced mindfulness and breathing therapist, life coach, grief counsellor, and family setting therapist with extensive inner development work.
